Q: What are your products made of?
A: Our products are made out of visco elastic open cell material (5.3 lb density), a material that helps alleviate pressure points while you sleep. Visco elastic material was originally developed by NASA in the 1970’s to relieve pressure for the astronauts in the space shuttle program during lift off and flight. It has become widely recognized and used for its pressure relieving properties and ability to conform and support the body during rest.

Q: How long will your products last?
A: Because of the unique structure of the visco elastic cells and the high density of our material, we have backed our mattresses with an unlimited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser of the mattress. If the mattress is used properly with a firm flat foundation (not a boxspring) or an appropriate adjustable base it will retain 90% or more of its resiliency over its lifetime. Additionally, we have extended our lifetime warranty to the REM Wave adjustable base. Please see our warranty information for additional details on our products.

Q: What is the difference between the Cayman and the Martinique?
A: The Cayman is 8.5" high and the top layer of visco elastic material is 3.5" with a 1/2" air merge and a 4.5" support layer. The soft cover is made with 77% natural bamboo for a comfortable feel. The Martinique sits 10" high and the top layer of visco material is 5" with 1/2" air merge and a 4.5" support base. Although both beds have an excellent feel to them, the Martinique is our signature bed with its unique design and sensational comfort.

Q: How are your beds different from your competitors?
A: We use a 5.3 lb density visco elastic comfort layer. Our covers are designed for style and comfort and are hand crafted in the USA utilizing the finest materials for a smooth and dreamy touch. We construct our mattresses with an air merge chamber which allows cool air to pass through. Most importantly, our mattresses are backed with a lifetime warranty due to their superior construction.

Q: Can I use my heating pad or electric blanket with the mattresses?
A: No, this is not recommended as the top layer can liquify as a result of long exposure to a heating pad.

Q: Should I use a mattress pad?
A: No, you do not need to use a mattress pad as this will reduce the pressure relieving sensation. We do recommend using our mattress protectors which are specifically designed to protect the mattress while maintaining the full pressure relieving feel.

Q: Do you sell spring or coil mattresses?
A: No. Coil or spring mattresses usually start to sag in the mid section. Once this happens, the body weight of a sleeper shifts to the slumping area which pulls on the ligaments of the lower back causing lower pack and hip pain due to pressure points and the slumping. Additionally, innerspring or coil mattresses are a haven for bed bugs. Bed bugs can live dormant inside the pockets and coils for up to 6 months and each bed bug can lay up to 500 eggs. Once a spring mattresses is infested, it must be thrown out along with the carpet, sofas, and draperies.

Q: Do your mattresses attract bed bugs and dust mites?
A: No. Because there are no springs, cotton, or coils inside our mattresses, there is no haven or place for bed bugs to thrive. We do recommend using a mattress protector for the top of the mattress for added protection. Many consumers are switching away from innerspring and coil mattresses to our products simply for this reason, the elimination of bed bugs.

Q: Is there an odor when the mattress is new?
A: Yes, as the cell structure opens in a new mattress, there is a slight odor that is harmless and will dissipate in a few days.

A: The REM Wave is designed to fit into any existing bed frame as long is it is standard size (Twin Long, Full, Queen, King, Cal King). The sides of the REM Wave are designed 1/2" narrower so that they can easily operate up and down without bumping the sides of the bed frame. We also produce headboard attachments so that you can attach your headboard to the top of the REM Wave. We do not have foot board attachments. The legs of the REM Wave can be removed and it can operate independently on a flat surface or wood board as long as the board is built to support the weight of the adjustable base.
